Thursday  August 6, 2020	Ocean Animal BINGO & Ocean Animal Counting Book	BINGO BINGO card Something to use to cover animals- you can use anything you have. You may use a marker to cross off the animals as we play or use stickers to cover them. Other suggestions: pieces of paper, buttons, small toys, crackers (and then you have a snack for after). Whatever you use does not have to cover the whole picture, just enough so that your child can keep track as we play.  Ocean Animal Counting Book Counting Book Something to write with  crayons/markers

Monday, August 3- Where is the Shovel? Book

1. Write your name on the front of your book
2. Have a grown up read you the direction on each page
3. When you hear the direction, put a shovel picture in the right spot and glue it down
4. Color the buckets and shovels in your book. 

Tuesday, August 4- Watermelon Mosaics

1. Write your name on the back of the watermelon slice
2. Tear your pink strips one at a time into the small pieces- I recommend putting the pieces into a small bowl to keep them together
3. Put glue on a small part of the watermelon picture- put the pink pieces next to each other on the glued part. It is okay if there are small amounts of space. Continue adding glue and paper until the middle of the watermelon is covered. It is okay to cover the seeds that are on the template 
4. Repeat the process with the green paper and glue the pieces to the outside of the watermelon slice
5. Lastly, tear the black paper and glue the pieces randomly over the pink paper to make your seeds 

Wednesday, August 5- Summer Spelling Words- Initial Sounds

1. Cut the letter strip on the lines
2. Spread out your letters
3. Write your name on your book
4. Look at the first picture
5. Say the word out loud and try to think what letter makes the sound that come at the beginning of that word
6. When you know the letter, find it and glue it in the square to complete the word
7. Do each picture in your book
8. When you are done, use markers to rainbow write the letters for each word

Thursday, August 6- Ocean Animal BINGO  & Ocean Animal Numbers

Ocean Animal BINGO

1. We will play BINGO virtually as a class
2. When I choose an animal card, look at your card to see if you have that ocean animal
3. If you have that animal on your card, use something to cover it up or cross it out
4. We will keep going until everyone gets all of their animals

Ocean Animal Numbers

1. Practice tracing each of the numerals from 1-10
2. You may color the animals that go with each number page

Things to do	I Spy-Sand 10 Ways to Play with Sand {Sensory Summer}	Match the Alphabet Fish: Rainbow Fish Letter Matching Printable	Cheerio Starfish Cut out a starfish shape and fold down the middle of each arm.  Dot liquid glue along each side of the fold and allow your child to put a cheerio on each dot of glue.  You can use any cereal with a similar shape.  Add glitter at the end if you want!	Ocean Counting Mats This is a free printable from Mom Inspired Life. Numbers 1-10 are included as well as pictures to fill the 10 frames while counting.  Here is the link:  Counting Mats

Monday, July 27- Summer Rhyming

1. Cut the pictures out
2. Write your name on the sheet
3. Find the pictures that rhymes with the first picture on your sheet
4. Glue the rhyming word into the box next to each picture

Tuesday,  July 28- Patterns

1. Write your name on the back of the sentence strip and turn it over so that you can see the pattern unit (the pattern unit is the set of pictures already glued to your paper)
2. Spread out your extra pictures so that you can see what you have
3. Identify the pattern unit 
4. Say each picture as you touch it and see what comes next to keep your pattern going
5. Glue on the pictures to complete the pattern to the end of your sentence strip
6. Color your pictures when you are finished

Wednesday, July 29- Octopus Plates

1. Color the blank side of the paper plate (the side with nothing on it) 
2. Draw a face for your octopus
3. Flip your plate over to the dotted side and write your name in the middle of the plate
4. Mom or Dad can carefully tear the green paper off and separate your colored octopus legs so you can see the numbered stickers on each one
5. Count the number of black dots in one of the sections
6. Find the leg with the number that matches that many dots and glue it over the dots with the rest of the leg on the outside of the plate
7. Do each section until you have attached all 8 legs to your octopus

Thursday,  July 30- Seahorse Letter Matching

1. Write your name on the back of your seahorse bubble paper
2. Pick a bubble with a letter in it
3. Identify the letter and find the same letter on your sticker sheet
4. Put the sticker over the bubble with the same letter inside
5. Do all of your stickers

Ocean Slime Here is a simple recipe to make it at home! ½ cup clear liquid glue ¼ cup liquid starch  ½ cup water Food coloring (a few drops until you get the desired color) Glitter  Optional: add small shells or small plastic ocean animals to your slime when it is mixed!	Sidewalk Chalk Obstacle Course/ Spelling Game Using sidewalk chalk, draw an obstacle course for your child to go through. Some things you can include are: walk on the line- straight/ zigzag/ curvy, run, bear crawl, bunny hop, tip toe, spin, jump, squat, frog jump etc.  Older students may enjoy drawing all of the letters of the alphabet and using their feet to help spell out some ocean animals/words with you..
